Foundation Goals:

·        Increase the college scholarships amounts and quantity for children of First Responders.

·        Would like to become an accessible resource for emergency personnel seeking funding

and assist replacing often out dated and necessary equipment and tools.

·        Currently our funds are generated through donations, sponsorships, and sale of merchandise.

·        Additional fund raisers are always being assessed and your ideas are welcome.

What We Have Accomplished To Date:

Eight weeks after the attacks on our country, on November 10 and 11 2001 we mobilized a large group of motorcyclists who traveled from the White House in Washington D.C. to the site where the Twin Towers once stood in New York City.  The purpose of this was two fold; one to remember the fallen by placing more than 1000 roses at the site, secondly to bring much needed revenue into New York City.  On this ride the participants spent more than $50,000 to boost New York’s economy during our short stay.

On August 23 - 24, 2002 the Foundation traveled to all three of the September 11 crash sites.  From this point on the America’s 9/11 Ride travels to all three of the crash sites in August, so as not to impact any site and those mourning during September.
To date we have traveled 16 times into New York completely police escorted as we raise funds for our scholarship program.  We have given out more than $400,000 to First Responders, their departments and families. We have presented more than $360,000 in college scholarships to children of Active duty First Responders.

Beyond The Annual Memorial Ride

June 2011 the foundation went to Joplin, MO for 7 days assisting in the clean up of the worst tornado that has struck the America.

September 2005 the Foundation allocated funds from the general fund to immediately head to assist First Responders hit by Katrina.  A second trip to Katrina victims was planned as a food and clothing drive. On September 11, 2005 the Foundation departed Virginia with 3 -26’ box trucks and 1 – 53’ tractor trailer donated by Food Lion, all filled with food and clothes.  This trip was directed by the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association.

2004 the Foundation created a t-shirt “Memory Never Forgotten”.  2200 of these t-shirts were taken to all three of the September 11 crash sites and signed by more then 40,000 people along the way.  In New York these shirts were presented to the Calvary from Fort Hood Texas and Marines from Camp Lejeune North Carolina for delivery to the troops in IRAQ.

August 2003 the Foundation placed an 800 lb granite monument at the crash site of Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA.  The memorial honors the sacrifice made by the 40 brave individuals aboard Flight 93.

The Foundation has held four walk a-thons raising funds for local First Responders and the college scholarship program.
